Challenge

Mental disorders affect 19% of the US adult population each year. There is a wide variety of available treatments and services like psychotherapy, prescription medications, or a combination of both. However, the success of these treatments varies. Ketamine therapy has revolutionized the way we approach mental health treatments and has been described as the most significant breakthrough in antidepressant treatment in decades. The client, which is a developer of a medical software solutions, engaged us to create a telemedicine platform so patients could conduct ketamine treatment at-home through a guided, virtual session with a registered nurse.

Our Approach

  • Streamlined the development of a workable prototype system utilizing Zoho services. This allows the client to perform idea testing with end-users and collect valuable insights before going into the MVP stage.
  • Programmatically customized Zoho services to extend functionalities needed for the proof of concept phase.
  • Created UX/UI design driven by the best practices in usability and accessibility.
  • Provided guidance and assistance to the client during heavy technical decisions making.
  • Upon completion of the discovery phase, our team designed an MVP cross platform scalable solution with maximum performance and security enabled capacity, all within budget.
  • Tech Solutions

  • Angular platform to accomplish maximum performance and scalability
  • AWS Amplify to configure the serverless backend and to support Angular frontend
  • Ionic framework to ensure coverage of a wide range of mobile devices
  • Node.js runtime environment to achieve fast, lightweight, scalable, and efficient
  • application deployment
  • Combination of Angular and Ionic framework to leverage cross-platform capacity
  • Results

Our team has created a stable, workable prototype for the client where patients can register and schedule sessions. The orders for the medication can be placed within the system and seamlessly delivered to the patient's doorstep. Prototype testing phases are useful to reveal where the finished MVP product can be better, and once the project completes its development phase, our client’s company will be able to continue growing as a successful business and help more people struggling with mental health.
